Niku Neshati is the President of the Board for the DC Area Phi Beta Kappa Association, having previously served on the Executive Committee as the Membership & Outreach Coordinator (2022-2023). Niku has been a DCPBK member since 2017. As president, she leads quarterly board meetings, represents DCPBK externally, maintains relations with other local associations and chapters, recruits new volunteers, and works closely with other officers to ensure smooth operations for the association. Niku graduated from George Mason University in 2018 with a master’s degree in Global Affairs and has worked in a variety of fields spanning Adult Education, Immigration, Social Services, and Public Health. She is a Qualified Medical Interpreter (Spanish) serving Low English Proficient patients throughout the INOVA Healthcare System. After her mother and grandmother, Niku is the third of three generations of women in her family to be inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
