Caitlin McLain graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in 2019. While at the University of Illinois, Caitlin received bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Global Studies and received certificates in Leadership Studies and Global Security. Caitlin did her first master’s degree at King’s College London where she received a MA in Science & Security. As part of her master’s dissertation, Caitlin wrote on the applications of blockchain technology to nuclear safeguards in the IAEA. Caitlin had the opportunity to present her dissertation at several international conferences. Caitlin received her second master’s degree from Purdue University Global through Disney’s Aspire program where she received a MS in Legal Studies. Caitlin also has certificates in Blockchain & the Law from the University of New Hampshire and Homeland Security from PennWest.
Caitlin is excited to be on the DCPBK Executive Committee as she has a passion for education equity and continuous learning. In her free time Caitlin enjoys traveling, running marathons, reading, and giving back to her community.
