Changed Location: November 2017 DC PBK Book Club Meeting

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 -
7:00pm to 8:00pm
PBK HQ 1606 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington, DC 20009
Guests Allowed:

Hello all,

UPDATED 11/25/17- Due to an overwhelming number of RSVPs, I've decided to relocate this month's meeting to PBK HQ, at 1606 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington, DC 20009. Our normal location Nagomi is not in a position to promise seats for all who have replied Yes, so this will be a temporary change to account for the anomalous response. I will still be stopping by Nagomi around 5:45pm for some dinner before the meeting, as there will be no food available at HQ, and leaving to walk up to HQ around 6:45pm. The new location is only an 11 minute walk from Nagomi, accessible from the Dupont Circle metro station.

We'll be discussing Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance (Nonfiction/Memoir, 273 pgs). All DCPBK members and guests are invited to attend.

At this meeting I'd encourage everyone to bring in any books you may be looking to clean out. We first see if anyone else would like to give the books a new home internally, and if there are any left over, we have a member who recommended a DC non-profit called "Turning the Page," which will accept any donations we have.

Please see below for our selections for the remainder of the Fall 2017 DC PBK Book Club Series, as recommended and voted in by your fellow book club members.

December- Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Classic, 368 pg

*Please update your RSVP by 7 p.m. on Monday the 27th, so I can give the restaurant an accurate head count.*

I hope to see many of you there!

Sincerely, Kate Hannon
